ZONA Parking Sarajevo Airport respects the privacy of its customers and visitors to parkingsarajevo.ba and processes personal data responsibly, transparently and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we may collect, why we process it, how long we retain it, who may have access to it and what rights you have regarding your personal data.

1. Data controller

The controller of personal data relating to the use of this website and ZONA Parking services is:

ZONA Parking Sarajevo Airport
Davorina Popovića 10
Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Phone: +387 61 356 386
Email: kontakt@parkingsarajevo.ba

If you have any questions about the processing of your personal data or wish to exercise your rights, you may contact us using the details above.

2. What personal data do we collect?

The personal data we process depends on how you use our website and services.

We may process the following categories of personal data:

  • first and last name;
  • telephone number;
  • email address, where provided;
  • details of the vehicle parked with us;
  • planned date and time of arrival at the parking facility;
  • return date and expected landing time;
  • information and notes you voluntarily provide in connection with a reservation;
  • information contained in communications with us by phone, email, WhatsApp, Viber or other available channels;
  • technical information relating to website use, such as IP address, device and browser type, approximate location, pages visited and website usage information, depending on your cookie preferences;
  • CCTV footage recorded at the parking facility.

We do not request special categories of personal data unless this is exceptionally necessary and an appropriate legal basis exists for the processing.

3. Online reservations

When you make an online reservation, we primarily use the information you provide to:

  • record and confirm your reservation;
  • organise your arrival and vehicle parking;
  • organise shuttle transportation to and from the airport terminal;
  • contact you when necessary regarding your arrival, return or changes to your reservation;
  • provide the agreed parking service;
  • handle enquiries, complaints or potential disputes.

The primary legal basis for this processing is the need to take steps at your request before providing the service and to perform the agreed service. In certain cases, processing may also be necessary to comply with legal obligations or to pursue the legitimate interests of ZONA Parking.

Information marked as mandatory in the reservation form is required in order for us to process your reservation. Without this information, we may not be able to complete the reservation or provide the requested service.

4. Contact by phone, email, WhatsApp and Viber

If you contact us by phone, email, WhatsApp, Viber or another available communication channel, we process the information you voluntarily provide in order to respond to your enquiry, arrange a reservation or provide customer support.

When you use third-party services such as WhatsApp or Viber, the processing of information on those platforms is also subject to the privacy policies of their respective providers.

5. Legal bases for processing

We process personal data only where an appropriate legal basis exists. Depending on the particular processing activity, this may include:

  • performance of a contract or taking steps before entering into a contract – particularly for reservations and the provision of parking and shuttle services;
  • compliance with legal obligations applicable to our business;
  • legitimate interests – for example protecting property, maintaining parking security, preventing misuse, improving our services and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims, provided that these interests are not overridden by the rights and freedoms of the individual;
  • consent – where required, particularly for certain categories of cookies, analytics or marketing technologies and certain forms of direct marketing.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

6. CCTV

The ZONA Parking facility is monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day for the purpose of protecting customers, vehicles, employees and property and for preventing and investigating possible incidents.

The legal basis for CCTV processing is our legitimate interest in protecting people and property, while applying appropriate safeguards for individual privacy.

CCTV recordings are retained only for the period necessary for these purposes, taking into account the technical recording cycle and applicable legal requirements, after which they are automatically deleted or overwritten unless a particular recording must be retained for longer in connection with an incident, the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or a lawful request from a competent authority.

Access to CCTV recordings is restricted to authorised persons.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to function correctly, provide certain features and, depending on your choices, help us understand how the website is used and improve its performance.

Strictly necessary cookies are used for the basic operation and security of the website and cannot be disabled where they are necessary to provide a function requested by the user.

Analytics and marketing cookies and similar technologies are used only where an appropriate legal basis exists and, where required, after the user has provided consent through the website's cookie settings.

Depending on your cookie preferences, the website may use services such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and certain Meta technologies.

You can change your choices at any time through the cookie settings available on the website.

8. Website analytics

Subject to the relevant settings and user consent, we may use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website, which pages they visit and how we can improve the user experience.

Information obtained through analytics tools is used for statistical and development purposes and, where possible, analysed in aggregated form.

9. Direct marketing

We may use contact information to send information about offers, benefits or other promotional content only where an appropriate legal basis exists for such processing.

Where processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time. You also have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.

Following an opt-out or objection, we will no longer use your data for that purpose, except to the minimum extent necessary to record your preference not to receive such communications.

10. Sharing personal data

ZONA Parking does not sell its customers' personal data.

Personal data may be made available only where necessary for our operations and the provision of services, including to:

  • authorised employees and contractors who require the information to perform their duties;
  • hosting and technical service providers;
  • email and electronic communications service providers;
  • analytics, security and other digital service providers, depending on the services used and user preferences;
  • accounting, legal and other professional service providers where necessary;
  • competent authorities where disclosure is required by law or pursuant to a lawful request.

We require service providers processing personal data on our behalf to use it only for the agreed purposes and to apply appropriate safeguards.

11. Hosting and technical infrastructure

Information required for the operation of the website and online reservations may be processed using the server and technical infrastructure of the service providers we use.

12. International data transfers

Certain digital service providers we use may process personal data outside Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Where processing involves a transfer of personal data to another country or an international organisation, we seek to ensure that the transfer takes place only on an appropriate legal basis and subject to safeguards required by applicable data protection law.

13. How long do we keep personal data?

We do not retain personal data for longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a legal obligation or another justified reason requires longer retention.

When determining retention periods, we consider:

  • the duration and purpose of the reservation or business relationship;
  • customer support requirements;
  • legal, accounting and tax obligations;
  • periods during which legal claims may arise;
  • security requirements and protection against misuse.

When personal data is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected and there is no other legal basis for retaining it, we delete, anonymise or otherwise appropriately dispose of it.

14. Security of personal data

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, unlawful processing, loss, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

Access to personal data is restricted to persons who need the information to perform their duties.

Although we take reasonable security measures, no method of transmitting or storing information over the internet can guarantee absolute security.

15. Your rights

Subject to the conditions provided by applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • obtain confirmation as to whether we process your personal data;
  • request access to your personal data and obtain a copy;
  • request correction of inaccurate or completion of incomplete data;
  • request deletion of personal data where the legal conditions are met;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to certain types of processing;
  • request data portability where the applicable conditions are met;
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
  • object to the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes;
  • lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency in Bosnia and Herzegovina or seek judicial protection.
