You've decided on private parking near Sarajevo Airport — great choice. The next question is a practical one: how does it actually work? How far in advance do you need to book? What confirmation do you receive? What happens if your plans change?
This guide walks through the entire booking process step by step, from the first click to arriving at the parking lot — including the situations most travellers don't think to ask about until they're standing at the airport wondering what to do.
Why Book in Advance at All
Technically, you can turn up without a reservation if spaces are available. But there are three good reasons why that's not a great idea.
First, capacity is limited. Unlike the official airport parking with hundreds of spaces, private parking lots are smaller and fill up — especially during peak season, public holidays and busy travel weekends.
Second, your price is confirmed at booking. When you reserve, you know exactly what you'll pay. Without a reservation, there's no confirmed price in advance.
Third, shuttle coordination. With a booking, staff know when to expect you and the shuttle is ready. Without one, you're arriving into uncertainty.
The booking itself takes about two minutes. There's no good reason to skip it.
Step 1 — Open the Booking Page
Go to parkingsarajevo.ba/rezervacija.
The form is straightforward — you only need to enter two pieces of information: the date and time you'll arrive at the parking lot before your flight, and the date and time of your return. Everything else is calculated automatically.
Step 2 — Enter Your Dates and Review the Price
Enter the date and approximate time you'll be arriving at the parking lot before your departure, and the date and approximate time of your return from your trip.
The system will immediately show you:
- The total number of parking days
- The price per day (10 KM, 9 KM or 8 KM depending on the length of your stay)
- The total price with no hidden costs
Shuttle transfer is included in the price — it is not charged separately.
A note on timing: You're entering an approximate time, not an exact one. If your plans shift by an hour or two, that's not a problem — just let us know by message.
Step 3 — Confirm Your Booking
After reviewing the price, the next step asks for basic contact details — your name and a phone number or email address. That's all that's needed.
Once confirmed, you'll receive an automatic message with:
- Your booking confirmation and dates
- The parking lot address (Dr. Atifa Purivatre 10, Sarajevo)
- A contact number for any questions
- Directions to the parking lot
There is no upfront payment — you pay on the day, either on arrival or when you collect your vehicle after your trip, by cash or card.
Step 4 — Arriving at the Parking Lot
On the day of your departure, arrive at the parking lot at your agreed time. Staff will welcome you, you take everything you need from the car and lock it up.
The shuttle takes you to the terminal in two minutes. From that point until you return from your trip — your car is our responsibility.
Step 5 — Returning From Your Trip
As soon as you land and switch your phone back on, send a short message or give us a call. By the time you've made your way through the terminal and walked out, the shuttle is there or arrives within a couple of minutes.
You collect your car, pay if you haven't already, and head home.

How Far in Advance Should You Book
For travel outside peak season — a day in advance is more than enough.
For summer months (June, July, August) or holidays — we recommend booking at least a week ahead. Spaces fill up faster than most travellers expect.

Changing or Cancelling Your Booking
Changing your dates or times is not a problem — let us know by message as early as you can and we'll update your booking.
Cancellation is free of charge. There is no cancellation fee, regardless of how far in advance you cancel.
Payment — How and When
Payment is made in person — either on arrival or when you collect your vehicle after your trip. We accept both cash and card payments. There is no online prepayment and no hidden fees.
The price shown in the booking form is the price you pay. Nothing is added.
